LeRoy A. Jones, M.D. is a board-certified urologist and partner at Urology San Antonio. Since 1994, he has provided patients with innovative care, offering unique treatment approaches and advanced surgical techniques.
Dr. Jones is an expert in the field prosthetic urologic surgery (inflatable penile prosthesis and artificial urinary sphincter placements). He specializes in male sexual and reproductive medicine including the diagnosis and treatment of erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, low testosterone, premature ejaculation, male infertility, vasectomies and vasectomy reversals. At his men’s only clinic, Dr. Jones also manages prostate conditions including enlarged prostate, prostatitis and prostate cancer screening.
Dr. Jones is one of the most experienced urologists in the field of prosthetic urologic surgery. He is among the 1 percent of urologists in the world who perform more than 80 prosthetic surgeries a year. In fact, each year, Dr. Jones performs more than 200 penile implant and artificial urinary sphincter procedures, a figure that places him among the top one or two most experienced prosthetic urologists in the country depending upon the year.
As one of the United States best prosthetic urologic surgeons, Dr. Jones has presented urology-related medical education presentations and has authored numerous peer-reviewed medical literature research publications.A member of the American Urological Society, the Sexual Medicine Society, Dr. Jones is an active participant in regular news stories, seminars, articles and presentations relating to urological health.
Dr. Jones received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1983 and his Doctor of Medicine from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis in 1988. He completed his surgical residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore in 1990 and his urology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 1994. As part of his subspecialization in the area of erectile dysfunction, Dr. Jones received special training in preceptorship in prosthetic urology. He was certified by the American Board of Urology in 1996 and recertified in 2004. He serves as the Associate Clinical Professor, Division of Urology, for the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and has been in private practice since 2004.
